Spotify infinite loading when song ends

Anyone have this issue? I either have to hit forward to next song on the wheel button or touch screen otherwise the play button loads indefinitely.

Does it happen primarily when you leave your home in the morning? Do you have it connected to wifi? I don't use Spotify, but Slacker will also get stuck and not go to the next song nearly every morning when I leave my house unless I manually click next.

I think it has something to do with picking up the LTE connection after being asleep. The last song appears to get loaded into local memory so it will finish playing, but something about establishing that connection to LTE causes that loading error. It seems to be worse when I have wifi enabled, maybe because the car isn't looking to establish the LTE connection right away when it's connected to wifi. It's not as frequent of an issue if I disable wifi because it seems like the car establishes the LTE connection faster when waking up.

I think 2020.4.1 fixed it..I have not had the issue since the update. I think i have seen others report the same.

I have this issue.. I really think it's because I use Spotify connect at home on my Alexa speakers and when I transition to my car it just craps out.. Haven't really tested anything yet.

It's almost certainly related to Spotify Connect, and I have a ticket logged with engineering regarding it.

Annoyingly, since 2020.4.1 dropped, it's totally borked on my end. Restarts, logging out and back in, nothing fixes it.

I am having the same issue and have tried all the same things. Currently only using Spotify in the car and it didn’t solve the problem. I can tap next after every song to play through a playlist but it pretty annoying.

Same problem here. Seems intermittent but 9/10 the play/pause button is a never-ending loading wheel at the end of a track. Really, really annoying.

Same here. Started immediately after the 2020.8.1 update. Tried logging out and back in, no difference. I hope the new update has a fix for this as it used to work perfectly.
