spotify not saving albums

Hi All, I had a search but couldn't see this mentioned.
When I search for an album and then hit the "save" button, it appears in my Spotify account under the Albums folder for the duration of that drive, but even after savings a few albums in there, if I stop the car and exit, when I get back in they are all gone again!!
This is on an LR using the free Spotify, so I have not "signed in" to Spotify as I don't yet have my own Spotify Premium account.
Anyone else had this?

It won't save them because if everyone did it then it would be a right mess - you need your own account for that.

Is the built in account a communal one that everyone uses then? So as you drive the car and listen to music it doesn’t develop curated playlists etc like a normal account does?

Spotify in the M3 is a little* buggy.
FYI if you favourite a specific track from within an album the entire album will be saved to your album favourites (and doesn't disappear when leave the car)

Thank Mr H. It's weird because it does save the Artist, but that only gives a random selection of songs from each Artist.

It looks like I might have to pay for Spotify earlier than I thought, as not saving the Albums is very annoying.,
