SPOTTED: A Daily Photo Thread From the Hawthorne Supercharger Station

As many of you know, our office is in the same business park as the SpaceX, the Tesla Design Center and the Hawthorne Supercharger station. As a result, not only do we get some great opportunity for communication directly with Tesla, but we get to see some random and neat stuff floating around the Supercharger on a day-to-day basis.

We thought it might be fun to start a thread documenting random daily photo snaps at the Supercharger and the Design Center.

To kick it off, here's a couple quick photos from earlier this afternoon:

Yeah I know. Us San Diegans are dying to get another SC somewhere between here and Los Angeles to offset the crowding.

Culver City has pushed Hawthorne off the top ten. I haven't been there yet but I imagine it's a much nicer place to be.

I'm still surprised how much effort they put into expanding Hawthorne only to build Culver City shortly thereafter.

Me too. And if they were going to expand Hawthorne, why not a year ago? It's all probably just due to a stressed out and overworked Supercharger team...

Did anyone notice that the Model X seemed to be without outside mirrors? Looked like a camera stem instead. Very cool if it passes the inspectors.

Yes that mockup in the Hawthorne lobby has always been like that. It was built years ago.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, I think the stats are just for the last 24 hours. Is there a monthly/annual/lifetime view?
