Did you apply Xpel to your Tesla? Does it change the look of the paint?

No, I've never done that to any of my cars and it's never been a problem. Little dings and chips are easy to repair and I haven't had more than one or two. Maybe it's the great condition and maintenance of roads in Maryland. When I cross the border into Pennsylvania that becomes really clear. PA roads are crap.

I found Xpel Ultimate didn't change the look of my black Model S at all. If anything, maybe slightly deeper gloss.

How did the glare stand up over time?

I bought a obsidian black s a couple of weeks ago and wasn't able to apply sealant before our 5k miles road trip.

Need some advice on next steps

Stood up well but now I'm using Permanon Aircraft Supershine. It has even higher gloss and it's much, much easier to apply.
