SR+ 0-60 and ¼ mile times

I did a few 0-60 runs in the Model 3 SR+ with my Vbox. Software version 2019.8.5. HVAC off, windows closed, temperature around 65, dry and level road, new 18" OEM Michelin tires, nobody else in the car. These times are without a rollout. With a 1-ft rollout they would be 0.3 seconds faster. Average of 4 runs in different locations was exactly 5.60 seconds. Here's the detail of one of the runs:

0-10 mph: 0.81 seconds
0-20: 1.65
0-30: 2.49
0-40: 3.37
0-50: 4.33
0-60: 5.51

Tesla promised 5.3 seconds to 60.

Also depends on state of charge. Higher charge will be quicker.

Search my recent posts of my LR RWD's recent dragstrip trip. Supposedly I am getting 5.0 0-60 times, so if your SR+ is at 5.3, I would guess your numbers to be about a 2.30-2.35 60 foot and 13.8 to 13.9 in the quarter mile at 100-101 mph.

This is my 2020 SR+ w/ 18” wheels, flat straight strip, about 75% SOC, no HVAC. OH, and the Ingenext Boost SR module installed. 😜

I doubt the tires slip on a non-performance in normal weather. Unlikely that the torque settings are high enough. Rolling resistance maybe?
Remember SR+ is RWD. In my experience with RWD Model S, the tires can absolutely be a limiting factor for launches and low-speed acceleration. Easy to get wheel slip and spin with allseasons, much less of that with summer performance tires.

The 3 things I'd say to that are:

The RWD Model S uses a different type of motor entirely (induction in the S, PM in the 3)

AFAIK the P85 RWD was significantly quicker than the RWD 3

I'm unaware of anyone, even with a more powerful LR RWD Model 3, improving their measured 0-60 times with better tires
