SR+ Access To Rear Heated Seats

Just picked up my SR+ and noticed when I clicked on the air unit, I have the option for heated seats in the front and rear. From my understanding, partial premium interior doesn't included heated rear seats. Not that I'm complaining about the added feature, but is this associated with a software issue or did someone at the factory accidentally give me access to premium features somewhere down the line. Curious if anybody else has any similar experiences.

just tested it out, can confirm they do work in the back.

ALL Model 3’s are wired for rear heated seats. You are right - it’s a software issue - but not of the sort you imagined.

It’s allowing those heaters to be toggled on and off. The SR+ is supposed to disable that software function but apparently it’s working here. Bonus!

Was it delivered in June? I wonder if they ran out of non-heated seats near end of quarter and decided to just install heated rears to make end of quarter push.

AFAIK there's no such thing as "non-heated" rear seats. It's just if the software lets you turn them on or not.

So many software restrictions, wish they would give us the option to add them at a later stage. That or we need to get more apps for the software root that is now out.

Welcome to Tesla life, those features will disappear soonish. Mine took about 50 kms to go away. Enjoy them in the meantime! Maybe one day we can buy them back as an upgrade. Also you should have streaming music and the web browser for a bit.

Mine were active at delivery in June. Car was on 2019.15.103. Updated to 2019.20.4.4 and still active. I’m sure they’ll deactivate them eventually though.

i actually never had access to the web browser or music streaming unfortunately, but still have my rear heated seats haha. super odd. I'm at around 700 miles into the car right now.

That's really weird, but pretty cool, I kinda wish I still had them, but maybe one day I can buy them back, haha.

I got my car about 3? weeks ago, and it had heated rear seats.

Just updated to the 2019.24.4 and STILL have heated rears. Sadly, nothing else from premium interior...
