You never know what to expect on the order status page. In the last week, delivery estimates for my May 11th order have gone from June 14-30 to 5-12 weeks to June 8-28 as of today.

For reference I ordered on april 15th and my dates are june 12th to 30th as of right now.

So just curious when would we update/upload insurance? I mean I understand once VIN is released we can put insurance on it at anytime.

but… I’m not paying for insurance on a car I don’t have. So I’m curious when would Tesla want us to do it so it doesn’t slow down the process

I don’t know what the latest time looks like but there are a bunch of states where they won’t let the dealership give you the car unless proof of insurance on the new vehicle is provided. Based on this, my guess is the most you can delay is to delivery day.

I swear I have heard of people putting in a copy of their current insurance card when it asked.

Nope. Just waiting for an email saying your VIN is ready. May be a while

You should expect to wait a long while. On may 20th it is very unlikely you will make it in the Q2 delivery batch. You are looking at a sept delivery.

The only way to get a mid July delivery is to get a demo car or a leftover inventory. Which means you might not get 100% the configuration you wish.

I ordered 4/18, still waiting on a VIN but I'm patient.....Shows June 13 - 30th! I'm waiting for delivery to take a driving vacation so lets hope Tesla delivers because I'm vaccinated and ready to push my Model 3 to the limits

Does anyone know if the new SR+ are shipping with the new batteries that supposedly you can charge to 100% daily no problem? Or am I imagining this.

Was at 10-30 June for a while, now it's in "6-8 weeks from order date" for the last couple of days. As I'm in no rush to take delivery (late June is preferable), no big deal as long as I can get it before July.

I believe only the Made in China SR+ has the new batteries. And I'm not 100% sure all MiC have them. Pretty sure this MiA SR+ batch does not.
