SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

All SR+ orders going forward are LFP in United States. If you have a Vehicle that says 262 Miles when purchased its LFP Vehicle. It was 252 miles before a software update where Normally the SR+ Vehicles have 55.6 KWh Battery. Now the Available Battery Before was 50 KWh, where the car kept 5KWh in Reserve. With the new Update it Only Keeps 2Kwh In reserve, so that they can say the EPA Range in 262 Miles Instead of 252 Miles before the Update. NCA Vehicles have a range of 263 Miles with a 5Kwh Reserve. Because of the New Battery Chemistry and the Fact they need to but more batteries in terms of both Volume and Weight into the Vehicle, the build is 250 Pounds heavier then the NCA Build. People still seem to be Enjoying the Vehicles the same and can't really notice a difference. And the perks of having a overall longer lasting battery in terms of Longevity and having more Recharge cycles with being able to Charge to 100% without as much damage as a NCA build is a big plus. LFP Batteries don't seem to do well in the Cold weather though. so Its a bit of a trade of, it basically what works best for you and your situation,.
As of what order date are all new cars LFP only? What was the existing order date cutoff if there was one?

Here’s the tweet. Like it so we can get Elon and Tesla to notice it and hopefully reply.

seriously? This is such a huge problem in your life that you need to tweet the CEO of the company?

you ordered a few days ago & you’re complaining you don’t have a delivery date ?

there are people here who are still waiting over 3+ months for their car.

I ordered 7/27, still no car. I am not complaining or bitching to CEO.

Get on with your life. It’s just a car.

Waiting 3 months on a custom order vs not having a definite date from ordering an existing inventory is two different things. Tesla has all the information they need to give an EDD for existing inventory but something in the LFP builds is preventing that.

For every listing Tesla posts, they have an estimated factory gate date and once its built, they have an estimated arrival date. Communication isn’t very hard - if they communicate, they can set expectations and not have frustrated people who have to resort to tweeting to Musk, because that’s the only way he (or Tesla) responds.

Yeah exactly. I’m not being impatient, I’m just politely asking if we can get some kind of transparency considering that when I ordered the model, it was listed under “existing inventory”. My impression was that the vehicle was already made and that all it needed was to be shipped to my location. Instead I placed an order and have no idea when I’ll be picking it up. I’m also getting different answers from every employee that I speak to.

hi everyone! i got my model 3 LFP battery a couple days ago. curious about everyone’s charging habits…

A plugged in Tesla is a happy Tesla.

When I got my first EV I signed up for "time-of-use" electrical service. Electricity is way cheaper for me in the middle of the night. So I set my car to finish charging when the price increases. As I recall there was also a recent update to allow a way to enter in the times for off-peak electricity and the Tesla was smart enough to do something with it.

I always set my max charge to 90% unless it was the night before a road trip.

What's the pickup process like for these LFP? Do you just inspect the car, sign the documents and drive off or is there a Tesla specialist with you?
Pretty much sign/ deliver check and inspect. Or in my case drive off without signing the registration forms because they didn't say anything about that after I gave them the check lol. Just told me I was good to go. I have to go back tomorrow and drop them off.

How do you know lol?

the discord lists factory dates :) I can PM you an invite if you want.

(apparently a white/white config was built on 9/6 too)

Have you been talking to Paramus directly or the generic Tesla chat/phone line? I found I got the most attention/help by emailing [email protected]. They called me within 45 minutes of my email and scheduled delivery, whereas the SA and people on Tesla line/chat were telling me I just had to wait for them to reach out to me.
Emailing back and forth with Christy @ Paramus. But not real helpful or specific about just where the car is etc.

wondering this myself....i managed to place an order on 8/22, which was in the short window between them raising the order fee to $250 (8/21) and when they released the LFPs to existing inventory (8/26). the range indicated on my order was 263.

i wanted to know whether i'm going to get NCA or LFP, so i reached out via tesla chat and they said to contact my SA for further info. so i reached out to my SA, but haven't gotten a response lol
