EDD updated this morning from 6/3-7/1 to 3/4-3/31.....pretty huge jump, considering im awaiting a RWD.

original order was back in august and was placed on hold in october until i released it a couple weeks ago. looking at recent RWD EDD's, i figured it wasn't coming anytime soon.

How was the car in the snow without snow tires? are you scheduling to install snow tires to be installed? I am picking up my M3RWD 1 Mar from same location but live out in the country so curious about how the car drives in the white stuff.
You should definitely put winter tires on it. I put winter tires on mine as soon as I got it but my AWD Mazda 3 still drives better in the snow for close to half of the Tesla’s price.

The braking is good with winter tires but the TCS really limits the power and the light keeps coming on whereas when I was driving the Mazda yesterday in much worse conditions, the light never came on once.

If you have to do some quick side maneuvering you can feel the rear starting to slip out

TLDR: I wouldn’t use the model 3 during the winter without proper tires

M3 Black on Black, Aero
OD: October 15
Initial ETA: April 2022
Moved around quite a bit and since November ETA: 10 Feb -10 March
02/04 Got my 2 weeks delivery window: Feb 22 - March 08.
Location: Montreal

Does the delivery usually fall in the middle of the 2 week window or it can be anywhere?
Hey guys, bad news..

Eta just moved from Feb 22-Mar 08 to Mar 09-Mar 31…

That’s a full month delay + delivery window got larger.

Anyone in the same boat? Should i call my s/a and see what’s up?

Hi everyone,
I took delivery yesterday at the Kitchener Tesla Centre. (OD: Sept 26/White on White/RWD) Drove my Jeep Wrangler trade in 3 hours through blowing snow to get there. Multiple semi's in the ditches along the way. To be honest, I was terrified about taking my rear wheel drive back home through that mess.
Once I arrived, the trade in was easy and most of my time at the Centre was spent with an employee who walked me through the features of the car. No rush and EXCELLENT support from the staff at Tesla.
Driving home through the snow was NO PROBLEM. The traction on this vehicle is incredible. I felt so much safer than in the Jeep. I stopped once to supercharge and had to drive through a group of protesters to get to the supercharger! Once through, the supercharging process was very easy.
My car is beautiful and I love it more than I thought I would. No flaws, drives like a dream and a tonne of fun. SO worth the wait.

Good luck everyone - stay patient. It is worth it!

Hi guys, people who already took delivery in Canada..did you guys upload your insurance on the account prior to your pick up date? When did you guys do it?
When i called last Week i was told to wait just in case delivery day changes but i just got an email Tesla asking to upload my insurance. Issue is looks like TD insurance is closed today and most likely tmro for Family day so earliest i can do it will be tuesday. Should be fine but i wish communication from Tesla was better. Anyways few more days hopefully all goes smooth.
I found communication leading up to delivery to be sparse but the delivery experience itself was awesome. I did upload the insurance prior to but could have bought it with me the same day according to the delivery specialist.

Did you have winter tires on the Jeep? Also how many km on them?

We OD Sept 16, current EDD June/July 😡
We asked at pickup location, they said they aren’t receiving rear wheel drive 3’s and don’t expect any until closer to summer.
Wohoo!! EDD updated this morning! We got a 2 week window 3/7-3/24. Only problem, we’ll be on vacation the first week, they better work with us on the date or I’ll be pissed!
No vin yet.
