SRP EV Plan

does anyone use SRP’s EV plan? Thinking of switching from basic to it. Only concern is the 1-8pm on peak charge of .22 per kw.

SRP means nothing to me and probably most of the users here.

Did you mean 22 cents per kWh?

I couldn't deal with the seven hours of peak Summer rates. For me the 3-6pm peak rate plan is much more bearable given the extreme desert heat. But if you tend to have a vacant home most of Monday-Friday daytime, the EV plan might be OK.

But yes, I do have the SRP EV plan and it works great. Scheduled charging for 11pm and saves a bunch for our family.

Sorry guys, new to the forum. Where do i find a regional section? Thanks for the input, do you guys have any issues limiting energy from 1-8pm? Are the savings pretty significant?

Yep, I'm here in Mesa. I charge at 11pm to whenever it finishes. Usually nobody is home during 12-5pm anyways so not much electricity is being used. When we get home, fans and just a tad of AC is suffice. Then at 8pm the cooling starts. A programmable thermostat is also pretty helpful!
