I can understand balancing, though rotating is nuanced. If wheels and/or tires are directional you can’t do rotating, right?

Not rotating, but I have directional tires on and had them swap sides to avoid the dreaded inside shoulder wear. Which I had but that was before a proper alignment (I knew I should have had it checked BEFORE the 1500 mile road trip! D'oh!).

Ah.. I didn’t think you could swap tires between wheels on same axle without changing rotation direction, ie thought the inside of the tire is different to outside - never done this, so might save some money now
