there's been other individuals reading the earth's "world-wide-web" and it costed one off'em not even the time you need to blink your eyes to go and fetch it while hidden from our lousy telescopes. and well, not to attract attention immediately he resprayed the vehicle and rocks it beyond mars, ess charged wireless by space radiation.
rumour says, starman was thrown out on a planet called Beteigeuze Five and living since then there totally abandonned under false name as tyre-dealer - but who knows ?
...finally Elon in his scattered head hasn't even realized that the roadster is gone - well, he probably got other priorities
