So I have a mobile appointment for the heat pump acoustic cover and got notification that there is also an additional bulletin for the steering wheel. My Y is a Q1 vin number. Anybody knows what this is about?
About the heat pump cover, I read in another thread that someone noticed that the technician
was going to disconnect the fluid hoses and would have to flush the whole cooling circuit.
So talking with the technician he realized that making small cuts on the covers would avoid
disconnecting the hoses, and they both agree doing it instead.
May be something to consider? "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
I just wonder if anyone had a similar experience?
On some Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, the upper steering column bolt may not be installed according to internal specifications, which could cause excessive play between the steering wheel and steering column.
And they haven't inspected it yet? The airbag is one of the things that the TSB mentions may need replaced:
Inspect the vehicle for symptoms related to the condition. If symptoms are present, install a new upper steering column bolt and if damaged, replace the driver airbag, airbag harness, and/or steering column control module (SCCM).
