Steering wheel stiff on D with comfort soft with R

My steering wheel is stiff on comfort mode when im shifted to Drive "D" and very loose or smooth when I put the car in Reverse.

I'm running comfort but before I was running on Standard as comfort was too loose for me.

There was a rear left bumper And quarter panel accident couple of months back.

It's good enough to drive but when I put the car in Reverse I really notice the difference and am worried if there is a problem here.
