received a call late last week from delivery specialist who offered to have someone drive the car up to vermont from boston for a june delivery. told them i would rather not. apparently all the flatbeds are tied up. wondering whether they'll deliver my assigned vin to someone else to fulfill the june delivery mandate if they can't find a flatbed before the month runs out.

Smooth delivery at the Richmond showroom Thursday. Originally I had scheduled delivery for Saturday (yesterday) but they called me Wednesday evening to tell me it came in early so we picked it up the following afternoon. Delivery experience was smooth overall, no significant issues. White/black/DMLR, FSD, tow hitch, VIN 118xx.

The parking lots, front and back, at the showroom were PACKED with cars for delivery with a transport unloading more. Not a single place to park my trade in except for the handicapped spot next to the front door.

Tesla is at least replying to my texts. Apparently my MY is still in pre-production so the VIN I received yesterday via text isn't "locked in" yet. My advisor said he/she would notify the team that "sends these automated messages out" about the messaging not matching up with reality. And I'm really starting to doubt they can get the car built and available in SoCal for a Tuesday 6/30 delivery

I had a feeling that since I was not receiving these text messages that I wouldnt be taking delivery in Q2.. Well two days out and still not a peep from Tesla. Was 50/50 hoping I would take delivery this quarter one because it was easy and close to say that hey I might have a car this month but two I dont know if I want the QC issues of the cars being rushed and sent out to meet that deadline. Now with the new quarter theres really no telling when I will receive the car except for (hopefully) by the end of September.

Agree, I just gave them a call and got a similar message. "Your vehicle is in final stages of production, VIN assigned (23xxx) but don't bank on it". I also doubt they will be able to finish the production and send the vehicle from Fremont to SD in one day to be in time for a 6/30 delivery. The person said that most probably a new VIN will be assigned once it becomes available (due to someone not coming up the finances for ex), but I am more concerned about a new VIN assigned due to someone rejecting the car.

Just spoke to customer service via chat again and was once again told a VIN has been assigned. The vehicle is still in production apparently and the VIN will not be released until a delivery appointment has been set.

However, another agent did disclose the VIN supposedly assigned to me in previous chat. Long story short. I guess nothing is for certain until an actual delivery appointment is scheduled.

FWIW, the delivery specialist in Superior, Colorado said to me a day ago, that "normally, third quarter vehicles would head over seas but Tesla is NOT doing that with the Model Y this year". I guess that means people who don't get a Model Y in June may still get one in July.

When I asked my delivery specialist if im still getting the car between June 28-30th his response was “Yes, I think you will still get a car. Today is the 26th. Look like you’ll get a car over the weekend.” but as of today 12:45pm so.cal no vin or mvpa and haven’t received any other text. i shouldnt have sold my daily so quick haha

So we had a VIN and delivery date of June 30th, got insurance and payments all set up. But Tesla decided to keep the car on the west coast, as it had a higher chance of making end of quarter delivery.

My SA told me that on July 1st, those on the east coast that had thier cars pulled will be prioritized for build. He expects I should have a vin and delivery withing 15-20 days from July 1st.

He apologized a bunch for it happening, so hopefully it's true and Tesla hasn't forgotten us and will get out cars built quickly starting July 1st.

Well this is good news for me I guess. I REALLY hope I dont have to wait till August or September. As a travel nurse I am in a different location every 8-12 weeks and it makes it tough having to go home and take delivery already as it is.

This is what I think happened to mine. I had a VIN and MVPA in my account from 6/24 to 6/26...now it's gone and I no longer have a VIN assigned. I'm a Charlotte delivery so while no one has told me it went to someone closer to the factory, I would bet on it.

My SA (who really doesn't seem to know much) said my VIN won't change and that it just needs to be "regenerated" but I've seen too many people on here have the same thing happen to have any faith in that.

And...VIN (23xxx) is now in my account! Maybe I'll make 6/30 after all!

I was supposed to pick up my MY tomorrow at Buena Park SC. Got a call this morning saying the car is built but waiting for transit. So my delivery is rescheduled to Tuesday (06/30). Looks like there will be lots of MY being moved to delivery centers. Hopefully they have enough trucks to load them for 06/30 deliveries.
