Still expecting June Delivery?

Damn. I lost my vin and it never came back. I had a text about delivery 26-29th but really doubting that now. Interestingly, I had called a sales associate and asked if a friend could come look at the car before I drove to the store to pick up since I live 8 hour drive away, and the vin went shortly afterwards... I wonder if they suspected I'd be less likely to buy by June 30 given my distance from store, so they gave it away...

Typically, but Elon did tweat back in April saying that deliveries to Europe (specifically Switzerland) in this case, would begin once giga Berlin opened though. So I think it is assumed that there will be no European deliveries until that time.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I wouldn't expect any MY deliveries from the US to Europe, and consistent with that the website shows 4-8 weeks for Model Y delivery to CA but 8-12 weeks for S3X, with the longer wait for S3X due to overseas shipment early in the quarter.

They still may send MY production east for the first few weeks of the quarter, which would explain the expected wait times on the west coast.

I'm sorry to hear that, that's really strange..
I spoke to my SC last night, he said they had so many cars coming in they were having trouble matching them. It could be lost in the shuffle.
Have you tried calling Tesla support?

Ok now i have no idea.

We had delivery scheduled for June 30th. Last night my wife happened to look at the account and noticed the VIN was gone from it. I said not to worry probably a website issue. Really late at night i decided to check on it and the VIN was back, but it was a different VIN. Newer number too 20xxx instead of 15xxx. Ok fine. My wife emailed the SA about it to make sure everything was ok. Then we noticed the VIN went away and then our appointment date went away. SA emailed back to say their was a problem with the original VIN car, and it was going to be very much delayed, so they got us a new one, but he has no idea yet when it will be delivered.

So we have no idea now.

What irks me, is that if my wife hadn't just looked at the account last night for no reason, we would not have caught it, and we would not have asked the SA who didn't even know about it until we brought it up.

If something like removing a car from your account happens, an automated email needs to be sent to the account holder and the SA right away. Seems like a simple no brainer kind of thing that good customer support would offer.

In the same situation, and if I didn't reach out, I may have wound up driving all the way to the SC to find out on Saturday that they didn't have my car any longer. My (2nd) VIN is now given to someone else, and I'm on standby again with "drafting your contract", with the expectation given "early July". For us East-coasters, not sure early July is realistic, as they should be de-prioritizing East Coast deliveries starting in July.

To recap, I was originally scheduled for 10am today for pickup, but got a call yesterday that the car was still in transit, so a 5pm Saturday appointment was scheduled.

Of course, I hadn't consulted my calendar and to my horror realized there was a conflict such that I couldn't pick it up on Saturday. I went to the Delivery Center this morning in Costa Mesa, as I was unable to reach anyone at the "Express Delivery" phone number.

As it turned out, my MY arrived this morning, and while I would have been fine deferring to Sunday or Monday, I was offered a slot at 3pm today. This may mean not a lot of prep work will be done, and I'm going in eyes wide open to that possibility.

My point is, if you do have a delivery center nearby and can't reach them by phone, if they see the whites of your eyes they seem more than willing to help.

Talked with a delivery specialist. Car is not a return. Still in transit and will arrive at Tyco tonight. They won't get to prep it until tomorrow, and will let me know if there are any issues that will delay my delivery. Somehow, I doubt there will be, and they will rely on me pointing them out, as I'm sure they are under immense pressure to get all deliveries in by the end of June. They told me my production date is June 6th, so I don't know if that was when the blue paint jobs with major paint spray pattern issues was occurring or not.

That's funny. Our SA just called us and said they had the same exact build that someone couldn't take delivery on, so if we want, we can pick it up tomorrow. Didn't say it was rejected but that hte person was not available. It's a 9xxx VIN as well. The only difference is that it doesn't have a tow hitch. We could add the tow hitch later, but it would cost $300 more. Also, we'd have to drive it back to the SC, which is 2 hours away. and it would take 1.5 - 2 hours to complete so that would be a 6 hour day minimum. Also it would take at least 2 weeks to get the part in.

If we stay with our new VIN which isn't made yet, and is 20xxx, we could get it early July ( we are east coast as well). So my feeling is that, if we'd have to wait 2 weeks to get the tow hitch added to the low VIN car anyway, we might as well be safe and wait for the higher VIN car and just pick it up in 2 weeks anyway, and save another 4 hour drive.....if it takes 2 weeks and not months again, which no one will tell us.

We have a model 3, and with both of us WFH we don't "need" the second car right now, we just are tired of waiting and want it haha. We had the charger installed, we got the bike rack already. We are ready, but i think waiting 2 weeks or so is the better idea.

I choose my delivery for this Saturday in Cleveland at 6:00pm. I have a 6+ hour round trip to pick it up since I am in Michigan and delivery center is Cleveland. My delivery advisor is terrible at communication and I can't get a hold of him or any concrete information with my vehicle. I asked if Saturday is a go (I had everything setup on my end to do the 6+ hour trip) but now on my Tesla account it says delivery appointment is Tuesday June 30th at 3:30pm. I did not change this, did not okay it, did not get notified via email / phone / text nothing.

I will now likely not be able to get my vehicle but have no contact from Tesla of what is going on. The only chance of me picking it up whatsoever next week is if they took it to the Toledo service center (which doesn't do deliveries) and I could pick it up at night there. Not allowed to come into Michigan with the vehicle.

Will this be able to be rescheduled for mid July so I can pick it up when I am able?
Wouldn't it be so much better if states didn't blockade Tesla from doing business?

Ken, I'm not sure what help it is showing your page on here. I would take it down since it has a lot of personal information on it.

As for the delivery, I feel there are a lot of unknowns with transportation to the midwest as well as the east coast. I would wait until the car is on-site before planning any trip there. If you tell them mid July, 100% they will move the VIN to someone who can take delivery since they are rushing for the end of the quarter deliveries.

I share your frustration because I hate the lack of communication we get for spending 50-60k plus on a car.

I understand the unknowns but don't let me pick a delivery date if it's unknown it will be there and I go forth and make tons of accommodations, get the insurance in place, friend to help, etc. If I have to take 6-8 hours to do this don't make it move on me. If it was 1 hour away I wouldn't care.

My page glitch finally removed - I had no choice in it staying for that long unfortunately. Phew? Thanks!

Ok. Now our order is totally jacked up. So I called and told them we'd rather stick with the new VIN we got 20xxx and wait the 2 weeks for delivery. But the SA before we made that decision already swapped out the VIN. Now we have no VIN and also our order is no longer showing a tow hitch. So we lost that 20xxx VIN it looks like and now have to figure out why our order changed and hope that fixing that, doesn't put us back at the end of the line.

Ugh.

Same. Got a 2nd text that says “We are excited to get you into your Model Y. Soon we will be reaching out to you for June Delivery.”

First text was expected delivery between 06/25-06/28/2020.

no VIN yet on page or source code. Slowly losing hope....lol. Sold my 3 to Carmax last week. Miss driving a Tesla.
