Nothing will happen until April 20 (4/20) when Elon will announce a new update
for the following week giving a week delay before increasing FSD to $12k.
But no new real FSD update until June 9 (6/9) announcing a new update
for the following week before increasing FSD to $14k.

Tesla needed the excitement of the new release and the encouragement of current owners regarding FSD to push 2020 year production / sales to 500k vehicles...now that the totals are in, and the stock is still soaring, no need to rush the update anymore...
I can see for a big update, sure. For a bugfix or minor feature release, he probably doesn't get into the details.
It may sound like micro management, but in his recent Wall Street Journal interview he talked about how a CEO needs to be connected to the product and not sit in a conference room watching powerpoint presentations all day. So I see it as him keeping an eye on the ball.
Remember, he actually drives the cars and uses this stuff every day, because the software carries across all models. So it impacts every customer to some extent (less so to older cars which can't support all features).

It appears it will be delayed because there are lot of bugs in the update.
Wait, surely people claiming to have inside info wouldn't hype things up and then step back and claim it's not their fault when nothing happens

wish they would allow feature based upgrades. As in instead of waiting for a packaged update that has many features or bugs, they can work on singular items. If a singular item is released the. All new development test for regress on the latest single feature update.
You people are giving yourselves anxiety over nothing. Just drive your damn car and when the update comes, it comes. It's not like you're going to die if you don't get it.
