Stock Front Bumper Plastic Wrap/Protection?

I just dropped off my 3 performance to have a ceramic coat done and noticed the front bumper appears to have some sort of plastic vinyl protective coating? Which panels is this on? I’m assuming this means they won’t be able to ceramic coat the bumper?
Car is only a week or two old so not sure if this is new.
Advice appreciated, thanks!

That’s an interesting development if so. My car built 14 August seems to have a strip of impact-absorbing film along the sills, under the paint. Nothing apparent on my front bumper; perhaps yours continues the development.

If it's that noticeable then perhaps it was supposed to be removed when the car was prepped for delivery? True PPF should be pretty much invisible, unless you get a partial hood or something where there is a definite line.

Are you referring to that line below the crease? On mine, I think that indicates where they put a kind of thicker primer under the paint. It's not a film on the surface. It probably helps a little, but it's not the same as putting an actual film on top.

I’m on a business trip and the car is at the detailers this week, will see if he can take some Picts, the place I noticed it was on the upper corner against the front wheel, very clear line and material difference in thickness, at first I thought it could be the masking line for clear but that doesn’t make sense. I also noticed on my one tiny rock pin hole ding that it feels a bit like a ding in plastic not paint. This stuff isn’t as thick as the paint protection I had on other cars however.

Here are the photos, it’s certainly a plastic coating of some kind.
