Stone Chip Repair

Hi

I was driving on the motorway and heard a terrible crack.

I knew straight away it was a stone chip.

I checked when I got home and yes it’s a stone chip. It surprisingly it’s small.

It’s a salary sacrifice car and I have to pay £250 for any windscreen repair even a chip repair.

Any recommendations on where I can get it done privately I was even thinking of giving it a go myself.

If it's a stone chip in the paint and it really bothers you Tesla otherwise just leave it as you're sure to collect more as time goes on.

I've used the rainx kit and it works well. Once you've shaved the resin flat to the surface of the screen, it is almost completely invisible.

Halfords. No experience of windscreen repair (used their bulb fitting services for convenience which was fine) but other than via my own insurers (free?/subsidised) it would probably be my first port of call (after a bit of due diligence)

Yes, I had an admittedly insignificant windscreen chip done by Halfords ... it was fine.
