Stop the beep

Picked up my MX LR FSD two days ago. Cannot find a way to stop the horn from beeping when using fob to lock / unlock. Very annoying, not going to go over well with neighbors when I leave early or get in late. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My brother in law's '18 MS doesn't do this.

My X has never done that. It's a center console setting, in the locks menu I believe.

Fob lock isn’t ‘Walkaway’.... why would you lock with the fob when it locks itself?

The 3 has a “lock confirmation sound” setting under locks.

Maybe it’s new on the X?

Yes, it was a new "feature" in a recent update. I tried it for about 10 minutes and quickly turned it off.

Excellent point. As a new owner, getting used to these high tech features (not using the fob) is a learning curve. When you get used to, and trust it, 'Walkaway' is the obvious choice.

You're correct. Don't know why I didn't pick that up in the owner's manual.
