DS (Delivery Specialist) is usually different from your OA (Owner Adviser). 5/6 is fine since the 6th is trade. As long as all the other docs have been uploaded to Tesla, you’re good to go.
I keep debating whether to buy a center console or not. Early on, I kept swearing at Tesla for not including it std, but the ratio of times I wish I had the extra cup holders and small storage space vs the usefulness of the Yacht floor for placing a grocery bag or to-go food is leaning towards the no-console side.

I went through the same thing but decided that I did not want things rolling all over the place on the yacht floor. Even a few items in there really annoys my OCD keep everything tidy and out of sight tendencies. Just wish the center console insert did not coast as much as it does but I am so glad we bought one for our vintage P85 that did not come with a center console.

We are looking to buy another Tesla, used this time, and the center console will be the first thing we buy for it.

The lack of license plate thing is interesting, I had never come across this.

Another thing re. the hov stickers in California (and this is news to me...) is that used EVs are only eligible if the car was not registered with the program previously...I wonder which genius came up with that:

"Used vehicles can qualify for the new stickers too, but only if they have never previously been registered in the Clean Air Decal program."

Here's how California's carpool (HOV-lane) stickers work now: updated

The car looks good. If they don't address the curb rash (I really think they should...), then that would mean that the car is part of the new/no refurb program.

I’m hoping that the S hasn’t previously had HOV stickers. Having license plates and no stickers is indicative. Apparently I can call the CARB to find out.

call ARB's toll free number at 1-800-242-4450 to determine your vehicle's eligibility.

The rash is pretty minor. Even I could fix that with sandpaper and clear coat. The integrated console retrofit isn’t the sort of thing a lessee would do. I think it might be a refurb. The tires are either new or have been detailed.

Curb rash is aesthetics. Tires (low tread) are a safety issue and would be replaced if they are worn. I’d hope the bar here would be anything less than/equal to 6/32nds. Your car had very low miles so perhaps all they did was put tire dressing on. :)

Looking more closely at the photos, the Michelin Primacy M4X4s have been driven on.
6700 miles and warrantied for 50,000. This is not an issue at all.

Ok'd the photos which apparently puts transport from Buena Park in motion.
Filling out the lengthier trade-in questionnaire for the Leaf.
The tempo of my DS (Kristine Furman) is faster than mine at this point.

The CARB doesn't know anything about whether a car, this particular MS, has ever had HOV stickers. They referred me to the DMV.
DMV Special Processing Unit (1-916-657-8035) has more than an hour wait time but will make callbacks if you leave a number.

I won the HOV lottery. I called the DMV and they verified that this 2015 S85 has never had HOV stickers.

Call DMV Field Office Support Unit 916-657-8035 to determine vehicle's eligibility.
They'll want the plate number. Call wait at 8am was only about 10 minutes.

They asked for the plates first and I had the CPO pictures with the plate numbers. Done.

I'm sure they'd have taken the VIN but that would have been a lot more painful for everyone involved.
If the plate numbers aren't in the CPO pictures you might try to get your DS/OA to track them down.
I'm reminded of ...

I submitted my trade-in photos and filled out a straightforward questionnaire yesterday. Tesla submitted their final offer this morning.
Trade-in photos are front, back, passenger side, driver side, dash, front seats, tire tread, VIN and title.
S shows up in Fremont early next week.

When all is said and done, the whole transaction will have taken 17 days.

Tuesday can't come soon enough. A few more documents. They use Salesforce. I've made up a list of CPO delivery questions as well as looked over the old CPO refurbishment checklist.
  • When was the last 2-year maintenance? Just need to know.
  • When was the last battery coolant replacement?
  • Adapters?
  • Update firmware to 8.1 I requested these from the DS but I'll re-request at delivery if necessary.
  • Update software to 2018.18.2
  • Update maps+nav
  • 3G->LTE upgrade (should be around $326) I'll deal with these post delivery.
  • Recall 18V-204 has not been performed yet on this VIN

The purchase agreement no longer says CPO. It says used once but most of the terms and conditions refer to a new car which this isn’t. Color me confused.

My DS told me the S is at 2018.16 which is fine for now. It doesn’t have LTE or the 18V-204 recall. So I anticipate a service visit soon and I’ll take care of the software, firmware and mapping upgrades then.

Are dealers allowed to sell cars with unaddressed recall notices?

Wow, this is a convoluted situation (based on first page of Google). Partly depends on severity. There are "do not drive" recalls, "safety" recalls, and then there are "get this checked" recalls. It also can depend if the the car is deemed "used" vs "CPO". Then in 2016 the FTC allowed dealers (GM) to sell cars with open recalls (and was sued over it)...
Cars with potentially lethal safety defects are still being sold

So it looks like other that "do not drive" recalls, they can sell them with appropriate disclosures.

This car is definitely not being sold as a CPO. The purchase agreement says Used and when asked about that the DS said the term CPO no longer exists. It does have a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty. To be fair, Tesla doesn't use that term. ev-cpo might want to change to ev-used.

Dunno if me finding out is quite the same as a disclosure. Dunno if an open recall quite satisfies "This car has passed a 70‑point mechanical inspection." Regardless, it's getting taken care of quickly.

Yes, due to a flippant tweet from Elon Musk about a year or more ago, Tesla dropped "CPO" in favor of "used", but until the most recent policy change, they were still pretty much certified (refurbished) pre-owned (used) cars that had gone through the refurbishment process and given a CPO-like warranty. Most of these 'used' cars still get the CPO warranty though, so they're more than just 'used' cars even though they no longer get the refurbishment.

As far as changing the website, most people looking for used cars sold by Tesla are searching for "Tesla CPO" and the ev-cpo.com domain has several years of SEO history, so changing it now would be like when buy.com changed their name to rakuten.com. Who goes to rakuten.com to buy stuff now? I used to go to buy.com all the time as an alternative to Amazon, but I can't remember the last time I went to rakuten.com (even though, yes, buy.com redirects to rakuten.com, it was as stupid move to abandon that great domain name).
