Strange Behavior After Parking at the Airport

I parked my car for the first time at the airport for three days. The place that I park has lots of plugs available. So I plugged in my car into the 110 outlet. When I returned today, things did not seem right. Earlier in the day, I was unable to connect to the car via the app. When I got to the lot, the car unlocked without an issue, but I noticed that it was dark. I packed up my cable and put my luggage in the trunk.

When I got into the car, the screen did not come on, and the interior lights did not turn on. I was able to put the car in drive, so I started to drive (very slowly). After about 15 seconds the screen booted up and things started to run "normal".

Since this is my first time parking and not driving my car for an extended period. Is this a normal experience? Is there something that I should be doing when I park and charge my car like this?

Yeah, weird stuff has happened like this to my display on several occasions. It usually eventually figures itself out and reboots, OR I get impatient and double scroll wheel reboot it and then things are fine. I had it happen this AM I think actually.

Tesla's infotainment system occasionally crashes. Usually it reboots immediately, but sometimes the screen just stays dark until it's manually rebooted or, as in your case, it reboots automatically for some other reason. (Presumably your starting to drive did the trick.) I've experienced many reboots when trying to get to the bottom of a Bluetooth issue, but I've experienced a hung screen only once (in 2.5 months of ownership). IIRC, the car had been unused for about a day when this happened, and I don't think it was plugged in, but I'm not 100% positive of that. My guess is that it was just a coincidence that this happened to you when your car was plugged in at the airport.
