Strange behavior playing from USB/favorites

I have 3000+ songs on one of my USB sticks.

I went through them all (over 2 months) playing them in song name order, and marked the ones I liked as favorite. (They were added to the favorites tab)

When I had my car in for service, I took out my USB sticks (and then put them back in after it was done).

Now when I play songs from the favorites list, it lists the title only. Once the song plays, there is no information about artist/album, no art and no time progress -- but it still plays the music. If I play it directly from "my media devices" by browsing to the album, then the time progress shows, and some (but not all) of the other information is displayed. The art seems to have disappeared entirely.

I assume the software is not able to handle the USB being disconnected/reconnected which is causing this issue.

Does anyone else have any experience or insight into this matter?

Thanks!

I haven't had that happen, but the usual fix for odd behaviour is to reboot the display. (press and hold both scroll wheels)
