Strange issue with steeringwheel buttons

For a couple of weeks now my steering wheel buttons only work for the first minute or so that I'm in the car.
After that they just stop working.

I have tried resetting the car in the first minute when the buttons do respond. And also turning the car off.

I have booked a Mobile service appointment for this Monday.
They said they were going to replace the buttons.

Has anyone had a similar problem? It sounds to me that it is software related.

They switch both button inserts after 2 months of ownership. They had completely stopped working. They had them in stock and took no more than 15 min.

This a hardware problem. When was your X built?

mine is couple months old I was thinking maybe it was a bad batch if our build dates would of been in the same time period
