Hi all, slightly off topic with Tesla but here goes.
My wife has bought a brand new Renault Zoe, and it doesn't come with a charger, so she's been charging it from the 3 pin plug on my Gen 1 UMC without issue for weeks.
Given how slow it is, I thought I'd try with my blue 32a commando attachment (this is what I use for my Model S, and get a solid 7.4kW). However, it instantly trips the consumer unit breaker (which is 40a).
Given her car has a 22kW onboard charger, there's no reason this shouldn't work is there? There are no settings on the Zoe to change anything like draw or amps etc.
Where should I start? Is it never going to work, or would you think something is wrong? Where do I start to diagnose?
Thanks all for any help.
