Streaming News Headlines (ABC Changed?)

In the past, every time I selected ABC News streaming, it started with the top news headlines. Now, it just plays a series of individual news articles.

Is there any way to go back to the earlier paradigm?

If not, what streaming news (e.g. via TuneIn) works that way? IOW, I don't want a live feed of news, I want the top headlines.

Came here to see if anyone else noticed this! I listened yesterday for the first time in a while. The stuff that plays is all the filler segments; I'd barely even classify them as news.

For a few weeks ABC News was no longer putting anything new out. They played general interest pieces, but no recent news. The last couple of days, I just get the spinning circle. I did a soft reset, but still no ABC News?

Ha, my husband just made this comment to me on the stale and repeat news stories this past week. I don’t usually listen to it but it was a regular station for him. So you’re not the only one who has noticed.

Noticed the same thing. Frustrating without any explanation. Is there a streaming alternative that provides daily "news" - NOT commentary or features?

You're not the only one who noticed this. It's not a Tesla issue as they don't dictate the content on Slacker. Other channels are working so it seems to be just an issue with ABC and Slacker (maybe contractual?)
@jkburns I can find no alternative on Tunein or Slacker that just provides news headlines. I'm going to start picking up angry hitchhikers every 30 minutes to read me their Twitter posts...

@jkburns I listen to a local radio station out here as my preferred source. Personally find it more informative to me than what's been the canned ABC “news” stories. Might see what local stations you have available thru radio choices.

I can get 1010WINS via TuneIn, so I’m happy. All the news I can use.

According to this, LiveXLive (i.e. Slacker) appears to be aware of the problem, but no word of anything on it yet.

For 2+ years I have been listening to ABC News from my radio favorites and it also was accessible from streaming and tune in. For about a week now "the wheel spins" but never connects. Seemingly, this is the only station in my favorites, etc. that is doing this. Any thoughts? Thanks much.

Maybe a fix! Yesterday I noticed that I now had AP News which (I think) replaced the ABC News tile. I listened for a bit and seemingly, it may be a good alternative (or replacement).

Yeah, I noticed that too, but it doesn't give the headlines ,it just has a number of stories that it cycles through, apparently.

As they say: Upon further review the loop of recent news needs headlines which is kind of did.

I realized that all you need to do is cycle through (push left steering-wheel button to the right a few times) until you get to the hourly headlines. Yay.
