Stress crack or impact crack? Rear glass

Woke up today to my rear glass cracked. I have absolutely no idea how this happened but someone told me it could be a stress crack since you cant really feel the crack with your finger. Hoping some people could help me find out.

The crack may not be on the top surface, but from the side. That's where it looks like the pressure was applied. Perhaps you closed the trunk and a acorn was in the gap? You should ask your "someone" to be more specific, cause I think Tesla will put the onus on you to prove it was a stress crack. Since your "someone" is the one who thinks that, you should get him to explain why.

To add to this thread, I found a crack on the back window on the side
Anyone else see something like this? Any luck getting Tesla to repair the defect? Nothing hit it in my case as this is the back of the car

I was driving and heard a pop. When i opened my trunk few days later saw thes identical cracks. No marks or dings on my pollen covered car. I outlined in white. What to do next? Looks like this is a common problem!

A few days ago we turned on our rear defrost on and about a minute later heard a loud crack. Thought it was odd. Then we noticed the rear glass is cracked right along one of the defrost lines and there is a burn mark on the glass on the defrost line. Is there any way the defrost caused this? The outside of the glass is smooth, no crack and you can feel the crack on the inside of the glass and the rear defrost no longer works.

We we not moving or driving when this happened,

Of course our car is out of warranty (57k miles) and Tesla service center estimate is just about $800 to replace.

Thoughts?
