Stuck on 17.17.4 - any tricks to force an update?

I've been stuck on firmware v17.17.4...anyone know of any tricks to try and get the car to perform a software update? I tried resetting the screen by holding the two scroll wheels - but no luck. I have a weak wifi signal so I am primarily on LTE.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Yeah, go to your local SC and have them force it.

Have an appointment at a service center, that's the only trick.

If you have an AP2 car, around 50%* of us are on the same version, so you haven't been cheated.

that distribution table is awesome. so it looks like a majority of the updates after 17.17.4 are for AP1 cars. But this is the silky smooth update or are we still waiting for that?

good call. my SC just said they can't push the update remotely but they can contact engineers at Tesla who can then initiate it. I'll report back and let you all know if this works.

I'd be happy to stay on 17.17 and wait until another update, to be honest. 17.24 is a mostly a step back for AP2. I hate it.

I'd it makes you feel better, I have 17.24.30 sitting on my car but haven't let it load on top of 17.17.4. I drove a loaner with 17.24.30 yesterday and was not impressed. I have a 500 mile road trip this weekend and don't need that hassle.

According to "most" accounts you really don't want a firmware update from .14 or .17 quite yet. Silky Smooth never happened for AP2 cars and the ones "HW2" that have been upgraded are almost entirely Service Center visits, on site and remote, new deliveries, cars with known problems having a FW pushed to them etc etc NOT just a normal course of the day firmware push from .14 or .17. Most on the forums with HW2 will say don't make that wish!!

I was on 17.17.4, but got the update to 17.26.17 at the SC today

Added the perpendicular parking which I didnt have before

I'm glad others are experiencing this too. I'm on 17.17.4 and saw all the fuss about the silky smooth release and felt left out. It seems most of us are, maybe for the best. My SC said I could come there and they'd push the update if I wanted. I'll just wait for it to roll out OTA.

It's interesting. I've asked both service and my local service center to push it and got a generic reply that they can't.
