  • DAY 20 - ISA emailed the trade-in offer ($700 more than I was expecting) 8/16/18
  • DAY 20 - ISA says Delivery ETA 9/9 (which is a Sunday and coincidently the 1 yr anniversary of my Model S lease)

  • DAY 34 - ISA called in response to my email. She told me that my car would arrive tomorrow (Saturday 9/1) and offered an earlier Delivery Appointment of 9/2/18. I took it! - 8/31/18
  • DAY 34 - The “48 Hour Before Delivery” payment portal opened on my account to pay off the remaining down payment (minus $2500 config payment and trade-in amount). I paid it via EFT. 8/31/18
  • DAY 35 - Called the SC today (Saturday 9/1) to confirm that delivery was all set for tomorrow (Sunday 9/2 12 noon) and they told me yes!
  • DAY 36 - It’s Delivery Day! Everything went pretty smoothly. We arrived at about 20 minutes before the appointment. They opened the doors and invited us to wait in the lounge. The delivery specialist was very friendly and kept asking if there were any questions. We did the paperwork and went to the car which had been pulled around and parked out front. I asked why the showroom/gallery was empty? She said they do so many Model 3 deliveries now that it was too much congestion trying to move cars in and out and that it was just easier to do deliveries outside. I assume that’s only if it’s not raining. As far as the car goes she’s a beauty. No issues that I can see at all. The only critique I would give is that it could have been wiped down one more time. There were little patches of dust and streaks here and there and again I saw them because I was looking for them. I didn’t go over it with a fine toothed comb, but from what I can see the fit and finish is as good if not better than my 2017 Model S.

Congrats! Good to hear everything went well! Decatur is where I’ll be picking up as well, I live just a couple miles down the street.
They are very friendly there and trying to make sure that everything goes smoothly. Just make sure the detailing is done to your satisfaction. Also because they deliver outside the sun can make it harder to see imperfections. This means that you'll have to pay extra attention. Otherwise you should have a good delivery!

Nice Terry - congrats - have listened to you for a while now via NAPP podcasts - wondered if this was you - then saw these pics! - nice garage setup there! Glad to hear your delivery went smoothly. I am not sure if I will end up picking up in Decatur or at the new location on Alph. Hwy - but either way - hopefully it will be soon!
