Will also do it if you are not buckled up. I believe there's a message on screen explaining why when that happens. Even if you just shift your weight to look back enough that the seat sensor doesn't detect you anymore, it might do that I think...
I have backed my car up in the driveway without my seatbelt on many times to wash it. The ding-ding goes off, but it doesn't go into Park. Maybe eventually....
