Since we can “Turn On” the HVAC remotely, it seems like Tesla could program the app to “Select Driver” in advance, so that when you open the door, the seats, steering wheel and mirrors are already configured for you (rather than, say, your spouse).
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.

This is something that is really needed. In my situation I am 6'2" tall, my wife is 5'0'"....when the seat is in her position (no matter the car), I really can't get in. I have to push the seat back before I can get in at all. This feature is HIGHLY needed for me.
That could work .... but if someone just goes out to put something in the car, the seats/mirrors/steering would adjust needlessly.I'd rather have it set to my profile based on my phone being used to unlock the car

I'm sure they'll do it like the S/X but I have the easy entry profile configured. So it defaults to that until you touch the brake pedal so it's kind of a non-issue.It should only adjust if they open the drivers door. (And this is already a feature on the S&X with the profiles linked to the fobs.)
I can see the appeal of this. jamnmon66 said the same thing. Oddly, I prefer the manual choice. It's related to the fact that today, whenever you open any car door, everything turns on, including HVAC, when all I want to do is put something in the back seat prior to heading out, say a few minutes later. It seems rather inefficient to have all that gear fire up for just a short time, ahead of actual entering the car to drive.Elon has said that driver profile linking to your phone key is coming in a future software version, which is likely better than having to get out your phone, unlock it, launch the app, and then select the driver profile.

Lets say you AND your spouse/someone with a configured phone key get into the car together, can it tell that it is YOU getting into the driver's seat? Both phones would be in range... I'm trying to figure out how the car would know which of the two of you is getting into the driver's seat.
