With the coming of summer, the temperature in cars will even reach to 60 degree after exposing in the sun for long time ,and the heat wave will make you suffer from fidgets. However, now Tesla owners can say goodbye to the heat wave.

Details are as follows:
Open the Tesla App several minutes early before getting on the car，and then enable the air condition precool function by remote control . Enjoy it! (Turn on the air-condition remotely, it will be automatically closed if there is no one to get on the car )



While the driver get off the car and close the car door , the air-condition system will automatically close. If the passenger in the back want to stay in the car, they can just click the control panel to make the electric and air-cooling system restarted. The system will not close if the drive pretend to get on the car while he get off the car. Besides, Directly shift the D mode after parking instead of P mode while parking, then click the Park brake on the control panel, the car will automatically switch to N mode .At that time ,the car will not stop working even though the driver leave .
Tesla smart air-condition system can also precool or preheat your car a few minutes early according to your touring habits.Because Tesla is electric car , you don't need to worry about the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Tesla air-condition with low energy consumption.

The data below was the test I did about actual power consumption of air-condition under scorching sun.

The beginning time: PM 4:19 , rated range 476 km.

The finishing time: PM 5:19,rated range 468 km .

It means that using the air-condition per hour while parking just consume you 8 km power. By that analogy, it will just consume 192 km if you using the air-condition for 24 hours .

In a word, Tesla air-condition is truly low energy consumption.You can feel relieved to make yourself feel comfortable and cool in summer. Absolutely, install skylight shade and breathable cushion will also be good idea.

Xiao ma ge, does your software version give you the Cabin Overheat Protection option as well as preconditioning? If so, you should check that out. Here in the States when set to On (only through main screen, not phone app), it will keep the cabin no hotter than 105F (40.5C). It kicks on when it reaches that temp and cools the cabin down to the mid-90s. Might be more efficient not sure. It was designed to protect kids and pets that might have been left in the car while the adult isn't there (too many stories of parents accidentally forgetting to drop their young, sleeping kids off at daycare or sitters and then going to work only to find child near death or dead from the heat when they were leaving work to go home). You cannot set the Cabin Overheat Protection feature to come on like you can with Preconditioning from your app; and you must have sat in the car for it to activate--giving 12 hours of protection upon leaving. Won't work below a battery charge level of 20%.
