I have identical garage door openers. I have a 2016 Model S and when it is in the garage and I summon it, the homelink opens the garage door and the Model S backs out, and then the garage door closes.
During September I took delivery of a Model Y and had the Homelink installed a couple of weeks ago. It is in the bay next to my Model S. When I Summon the Y in the garage the door doesn't open but the Y starts to back up. I opened the door with a wall switch and finished summoning the Y out. Then, as I summoned it back into the garage, the door started coming down as the Y was going forward and then the Y stopped and the door continued to close. I physically stopped the door which otherwise would have hit the hood of the Y.
I don't understand why the Homelink and Summon on the Y will not work like the system on the Model S. The mobile service tech could set the Homelink to work with the garage door.
Anyone else?
