Summon autopark not working on my 2022 Model S

On my 2022 model s long range when I engage summon autopark the car only goes in the direction I set but does not do a parking sequence. Autopark does work if I am in the car, however. Tesla service said since it is in beta there is nothing I can do. Does this sound right ?

What are you trying to do? There is no auto park outside of the car. Summon is to bring the car to you, or pull straight ahead or behind to get in or out of a tight space. You can’t get out and then have the car pull into a parallel or perpendicular spot.

There is a summon autopark that works with you outside the car. if you put the car in park and press the right wheel on the yoke twice a summon autopark menu comes up. you tell your car which direction you want to go, get out of the car and once you close the door the car should autopark in that direction. you can cancel anytime by pressing the door handle.

that summon autopark only goes forward or backward and will stop if it sees an obstacle. It will no fully autopark like when you are in the car.

So summon auto park does work on my Model s. My mistake!
