I have a narrow garage, but the summon feature to back out of my garage generally works well. BUT..why does it make some effort to unfold and SOMETIMES refold the mirrors during the summon process? When I first place the car in summon mode (i.e. front an rear lights flashing), after a few seconds it will unfold the mirrors. And then once I press the trunk button on the remote to initiate a summon from the garage (i.e. backup), it will then fold the mirrors in again.

But if I press the trunk button too quickly after the car is in summon mode, the car will start moving backwards and THEN the mirrors will unfold and remain unfolded during the summon process. When this happens, I have to abort the process to prevent one of the mirrors from clipping the edge of the garage door jamb. As I said above it's narrow. But why does the software go through ANY unfolding/folding process when summoning out of the garage. Just leave the mirrors folded!!

Anyone else experiencing this? Am I missing something where this would be desirable?

You are not the first to report this. I saw a post a few days ago with exact same complaint. If you search you will probably find it. I would say it's an unintended operation and should either be software fixed (no mirror movement for summon), or make some sort of configuration to prevent (although I have no idea like you why a mirror should move during summon). OPEN when done and stopped....
