I mean its cheap to operate. The manufacturer isn't overselling this aircraft - its intended as a trainer to do pattern work and touch-and-goes. ICE engines would still be necessary to perform cross-country flights that have you going several hundred miles to build hours. At least until you can get airports to install a couple fast chargers. The best choice for a personal airplane without spending a ton of cash is a diesel engine plane - it can burn Jet-A, which is more readily available and significantly cheaper than AvGas (which still contains lead).
