Well, ol' Sol is getting strong in Pensacola again. Any suggestions on a windshield sunshade? I've had good luck with Weathertech but wondered if there might be something more popular with the Teslerati. Thanks for your help.

Best thing IMO is getting the windshield tinted with the nearly clear film. You can’t tell it’s tinted except for the glare and heat reduction.

for parking I like and use the Folding Ultimate Windshield... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CYGJ1TB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This one fits very well, plus you dont have to store it!

Thanks. I just took another look at my car. Noticed there is very little lip at the w/s pillars or headliner edge for a rollout sunshade to attach to. So, tint may well be the way to go.

This is the same sunshade I got last year and it worked great for me. Easy to put up and take down - took a little getting used to maneuvering it inside the car without banging things the first few times due to the size of it.

I got this one and it's amazing. High quality construction, premium look and feel. Well worth it, imo. https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/product/uvs100-custom-sunscreen.UV

I have a covercraft one also for my model 3, and got the light blue one to go with my blue model 3. I have been using covercraft windscreens since I found out they were the ones creating the OEM ones for the BMW windscreen I always negotiated as a throw in for my BMW leases.

The downside is, while it folds, its long, and a bit cumbersome to put in. The upside is, it works GREAT for hot places, and really rejects heat from the dash. Super high quality and much better than 90% of the cheap ones out there.

On the BMWs I never tinted the windshield when I got the windscreen, but those were all leases. My model 3 was a purchase, and I got the windshield tinted in 3m crystalline 70% (cant see it). Having that, in addition to the covercraft windscreen, really helps a lot for the large model 3 windhsield (much more glass there than even my wifes BMW SUV.)

Had one of these for my *cough* Prius. Plan to order one here shortly for the Model 3.
No need to feel embarrassed about this. :p I also had a Heatshield for my Prius and it lasted the entire 17 years I owned the car without any sign of wear. This time around, I decided I wanted something that folds up more compactly than the rolled up Heatshield. I got one of those springy shades that I can twist up into a 12" or so disk and tuck under the seat. It doesn't block as much heat as the foam-layered Heatshield, but I was just looking for something to block direct sunlight from hitting the dashboard and touchscreen while letting the Model 3's climate system keep the cabin from getting too hot.

We've had 1 of these in both our M3's and love them. Perfect fit and they roll up quickly. My sons have the folding types of sunshades and we find that to be more of a hassle. link below

Windshield Sun Shades, Car Window Shades and Car Window Covers by HeatShield: The Original Windshield Sun Shade

I'm using both in the summertime - especially on days that are 108+ F. My front windshield is tinted with Xpel Prime XR Plus and I also have the HeatShield sun shade (had purchased it before getting my windows tinted)...

LOVE to see that all of these Prius owners are coming out of the woodwork! :)
Getting a Tesla is a natural progression for all of the hybrid owners out there. We got rid of our 2005 Prius and got a 2016 Prius which we still have.
And...We used HeatShield sunshades on both of those as well! :p
