Suntek paint protection film looks very different under polarized light

My matte gray wrapped MS looks awesome but I freaked out the other day when suddenly all of the squeegee strokes seemed to appear. Turns out that I was viewing it through polarized sunglasses.

No glasses (the line is my shadow):

Wild, is it not? Has anyone else noticed this.
