SAVE THE DATE: JANUARY 11, 2015 Determined to make Palm Beach County the destination for auto enthusiasts around the world every January, the producers and their sponsors present the 4th Annual SUPERCAR SUPERSHOW. The largest South Florida event of its kind, the Sunday SuperCar SuperShow is open to the public as a FREE ADMISSION event and is the Grand Finale to a full week of Palm Beach County public and VIP auto enthusiasts events entitled SuperCar Week. The Sunday January 11, SuperCar SuperShow is a free family day outing on the new West Palm Beach Flagler Drive Waterfront, starting at the Downtown Clematis Street fountains and Centennial Square and on Flagler Drive from Banyan Street to Lakeview Avenue. The organizers have contacted me and they will be having a dedicated display area for electric vehicles, just east of the fountains at the east end of Clematis Street. There is no fee to display your Tesla. I know this event is a bit off in the future, but if you are interested in attending, please post here. When it is closer to the event date I will send out an email reminder to club members. If there is sufficient interest we will organize a club meet-up. Non-club members are welcome to join us at our meet-up, just indicate an interest by posting here. However, if you are not a member of the club, but you are a permanent, or part-time Florida resident and would like to join our state-wide Florida Tesla club, please click on the link in my signature. As you mentioned Larry, it's far in the future, but we do love our super car events don't we? I am interested. Steve.
Hi Steve, Yep, if we go we'll need to find suitable charging and a hotel. Larry - - - Updated - - - Hi Steve, Being a local I would welcome any thoughts that you may have regarding a location for a club meet-up. Thanks. Larry
Hey Larry. Definitely count me in. As for meetups, we've always got the WPB Service Center location - or maybe we could go upscale and contact the Breakers or one of the other hotels in the Palm Beach area. Bill Hart might have some ideas too. I'll ask some friends who live in WPB for any suggestions. [BTW - I mentioned in another thread that I have a friend who works at the Breakers and I'd check out a meet up there. Turns out it is a different 'Breakers' than the famous one in Palm Beach.]
Everything is moving forward with the SuperCar SuperShow. Here is the link to the registration page for electric vehicles: http://supercarsupershow.com/registration/green.html Include “Invited By Andrew Roddy” in the Vehicle Description/Significance box near the bottom of the form. This will allow the owner of the EV to disregard the payment page. A confirmation notice will be emailed to the email address provided in the form within 24 hours. It appears that the problem with the registration web page has been corrected. So you should be able to use the link: http://supercarsupershow.com/registration/green.html to register to display your EV. Include “Invited By Andrew Roddy” in the Vehicle Description/Significance box near the bottom of the form. This will allow the owner of the EV to disregard the payment page. Larry
I registered yesterday without a problem. They want all vehicles to be in place by 10a. If you want to move your vehicle before 5:30p, you'll need to let them know so they can arrange an escort out of the event, as there will be people everywhere. Looking forward to it!
Tesla's were out in force yesterday at the show. We had S60, 85 a Signature and of course 3 P85D's. A couple of Tesla employees bought in 2 of the P85D's from WPB/Boca. It was a good day and the weather held off on the predicted storms. Here's a few pics I took. There were some other cars that drink the "Devil's Juice" too as well as The Dolphin Girls
