I drove around the property today, I did not see any markings on the ground, demolition or any visible crates on the North side of the building/parking garage for future Supercharger station (based on information on Supercharge.info).
There is already a lot of existing HVAC and electrical equipment in the fenced-off area on the North end of that parking garage.
There are at least three other existing transformers on the site in various parking lots.
The is a bit of current construction on the Southwest corner of one of the entries and hotel buildings, but that is for a new spa.
The entire Property and various parking lots and garage is massive.
When a major entertainer might be there or during a major holiday, I would expect a bit of traffic, pedestrians, overwhelm and chaos for a first time driver looking for a Supercharger (probably even worse at night).
It is located right off the 44/66/412 Highway on a major intersection, so it is right there.
There are also several eateries and and at least one smoking establishment on the East side of the Site beside what is available inside the complex for restrooms/eating/snacks.
Looks like there are three wings of various height hotels for overnight guests.
There is also a golf course right across the street if you need to play 9 holes or a full round while your car charges.
The tallest one (17 stories or so) is easily the tallest tower in the vicinity except for downtown Tulsa nearby.
I can see this location open up travel opportunities for Bartlesville, Fayetteville, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Branson and Joplin from the West, probably connect over to Springfield, MO and St. Louis/St. Charles in the East via 44.
I arrived @ Bentonville with 16 miles of rated range from OKC, distance traveled was 231 miles.
My car only charged to 247 miles, so I was getting exactly 100% range vs charge.
I guess both the rolling hills and the cool air took a bit of the car's range.
I wimped out and took the easier route on the way back through Perry, about 20 miles shorter and with a little more tempo.
I tend to charge a bit more and skip OKC Supercharger heading South to Ardmore.
OKC Supercharger is great if heading West (or if OKC is your end destination), but it is not right on the I-35 corridor (like 9 miles West of I-35), so it seems to be quicker to skip when long distance traveling North/South.
Thanks to Jdcleary and his wife for offering up some additional local things to see/visit near Bentonville (after I had charged up).
Main purpose for this trip was to see newly reconstructed/reassembled Bachman-Wilson House by Frank Lloyd Wright, relocated from New Jersey.
It has just opened for tours (best to book ahead).
21C Hotel is located within walking distance of Crystal Bridges and its extensive grounds, trails and woodlands.
Springtime is an awesome time to visit and stroll or bike this wooded and landscaped marvel.
Currently there is also a town square with holiday lights and an outdoor ice skating rink right adjacent to the hotel.
And there are green penguins everywhere....both inside and outside the hotel (on the roof).
Oh, and there was a brand new white P90D full tinted windows with Missouri plates charging at the hotel's twin HPWC when I pulled in on Friday night.
They might have been in town for a big company party @ the hotel.
