Supercharger - Albany, WA

I missed this one for quite a while...

Albany council meeting of September 2021 - records the fact that the CEO & Mayor signed an agreement to lease land in the "CBD Carpark" (I assume this is the one right next to the council offices and the Visitor Information Centre) for a 3-bay supercharger.

Agreement was re-signed in April, as recorded in the May meeting minutes:

I presume there is a legal technical difference between a common seal document vs. executed document.

Location as shown below - note, there's already a Tesla destination charger in this car park.

So about 250km from Williams Woolshed.
Not much in between though there is a 50kW charger at Kojonup.

And 350+km from Margaret River with a few 50kW chargers in between.
Manjimup would be the biggest town in between but can't find any Tesla references in that council.

Based on my experience, the executed version is the version they got back signed by Tesla.

ABC local news reported the location as "Old Gaol Site" (Tesla SC along with other chargers). Albany council approved the installation at last night's meeting. (I have not seen the minutes)

The Agenda shows the proposal has moved to The Gaol site - to be colocated with Synergy chargers.
And it's now 6 stalls.

Agenda suggests on further investigation the Library site would have needed expensive upgrades.

According to TOCWA this car park has been undergoing construction (grading/sealing) for the past couple of months - apparently has now been done. I wonder how long until the chargers get installed?

Has anyone heard what the latest status of construction is? I haven't been down to Albany since May to check

On last night's TOCWA Ask Us Anything, Sandy Giry from Synergy commented that the WA EV Albany site would be offline on 13th March due to works being done for Tesla (who they are sharing the site with). So probably something visible happening around that time.

Stalls positioned correctly in centre of parking bays to allow plug to reach both sides of vehicles again, suspect it will be V4 type stall design.

And a reminder that (assuming the schedule hasn't changed) there is an outage planned for the site tomorrow, presumably to connect these.

New policy to support rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure | Western Australian Government

The State Government has released a new position statement to support the timely and coordinated delivery of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Western Australia.

Apparently Western Power cancelled the outage for today, with less than 24 hours notice.

Additional outages now scheduled: 20th March (next Wednesday), 22nd March (Friday)
