Wasn't this week going to be the week we received some news regarding the Supercharger network? I know we still have the weekend, but just seems odd we've made it all the way thru late afternoon Friday Pacific time and no word.
This whole process may seem cute to some, but to me it's bush league. Not sounding very organized.Elon just tweeted "Supercharger announcement pushed to next week. Something else this week."

Any word on supercharger locations in the Northeast (specifically for the drive through NY, NJ and PA?). I really hope there is one in Scranton, PA soon!Back on topic, I was told today that there will be 20 additional supercharger locations this quarter go into service!
Not sure Jobs is a good analogy. My sense of Apple communications was/is that it was/is very controlled and organized. Watching Jobs was watching a very carefully scripted and organized release of information. Musk, not so much. Scattershot, with no rhythm to the releases. The 5-part Trilogy seemed like an attempt at it, but it has become a series of false starts. If I were in Florida or Texas I would be foaming at the mouth if I owned a MS, and reluctant to buy if I didn't.Concur somewhat. I chalk it up to standard startup chaos. It must be hell being the head of corporate communications at Tesla.
However, I prefer the randomness and Elon's Yogi Berra-isms ("5-part trilogy"!) over a staid corporate VP "spokesperson" any day. Tesla will, if and when it is a $50B company, have that VP stuffed shirt. But I am plenty patient for it to take a long time before we get there. In the meantime, Elon's tweets remind me of weekly Jobs-style "One more thing..." teasers, and they are doing wonders for the market, for the enthusiasts, and prolly ain't hurtin' the stock too much when viewed in aggregate.

SLO -- let's make the 101 driveable!
Do you know something others don't? Others in this thread have reported that the Paso Robles Inn is getting SC. Let us know if you have any real intel contrary to this, or whether you're just hoping that SLO (as opposed to Paso) will get one.

I happened to be looking at Recargo today, and saw that there is something labelled as a Tesla Charger at Chiriaco Summit, on I-10 between LA and Arizona. Is this a new supercharger? I certainly don't remember there being a Roadster charger there.

Meh...I live in Texas. I know we'll get our chargers eventually. Even after we get em, our gasser is still a better choice for most long road trips save maybe to Austin. Superchargers only sell the car to those who aren't realistic about the state of electric cars in 2013. Think about the 45ish states that have no hope of SCs anytime soon.

So living in California I shouldn't buy a Tesla out of sympathy for states that don't have superchargers?
