Hat tip to @Teleporter for this one. Building permit found for an 8-stall V3 Supercharger at the Sheetz in Archdale, NC https://www.randolphcountync.gov/Portals/0/BuildingInspections/Building%20Inspections/Permits%20Issued/2020/06_June_2020.pdf?ver=120lKDn0NpoPT0sX3dwLhw%3d%3d×tamp=1606932145676 @Chuq
Nice, wonder if the Sheetz in Salisbury (1520 Jake Alexander Blvd S, Salisbury, NC 28146) would get one too!
Thanks @Teleporter for the discovery and @RTPEV for creating a new thread. I've added this to supercharge.info.
You added it to the wrong address.. (that is partially my fault as I was hoping @RTPEV could find a Statesville supercharger) The correct address is: 10206 S MAIN ST ARCHDALE NC 27263
With the other two in the area under construction, hopefully this one will be done soon as well. This is also a better location for Charlotte-Raleigh trips vs the detour for the Lexington site.
I am loving the speed at which they are moving! Now that North Charlotte is in permitting, I am hoping to see the I-77 corridor getting some love both north and south of Charlotte!
@CorynNC any updates on this one? I would think it should be well under construction now, if equipment showed up a week ago.
Doesn’t seem likely. Little room to expand, the rows of fuel pumps are large, parking is limited and ICEing would be a big problem at this busy place.
@CorynNC Wait a second! Did you just hop in that mini excavator and dig a tiny hole just to get corywright to update the supercharger.info page? I love it! But really, thanks for the updates!

It's been a while since Tesla added a Supercharger that split a large gap on an Interstate. Also on I-85.
Just noticed today that there was digging going on at this Sheetz and came here to check and see if this was going to be a new supercharger location. This one is about 2 miles from my house, I drive by it almost every day and never had noticed the work until now. I do have a feeling that ICEing will be a problem here. This store tends to stay packed including the little strip of spaces where the chargers are going in.
Make sure to keep us updated on the progress (pics!) and keep @CorynNC off that mini-excavator so the real workers can get things done That I-85 Corridor is getting some attention . 3 chargers opening (Mebane, [In progress, pedestals in place], Lexington [Now open], and now Archdale) in an approx 3 month time frame. <3
