A subscriber to the North Texas Tesla mailing list has an email confirming a Denton, TX location and an Ardmore, OK location "coming in the first two months of 2015."
Nope. This is all that was shared. I didn't find a permit, but Ardmore's permit reporting lags by at least a month.
Confirmation by Ardmore official (but no address or permit #) Just got off the phone with a very nice staff member (Ardmore Development Services), who definitely confirmed the plan to SuperCharge Ardmore. No, the location's address can't be disclosed yet, but "it's a good one, right off the Interstate." This staff member was interested to hear that Perry OK is going to be part of the same 'SC Highway.' The permit is not issued yet, "we're still working on it." Not enough info yet to put on BlueShift's Map. Another call "about mid-January," though, will pay off big time! Rick
A permit was issued “this week” for the Ardmore OK Supercharger, confirms the Ardmore building inspector. (I have been pestering her for several weeks now!) Address: 322 Holiday Drive, Ardmore, OK 73401-2575 Host / Location: Interurban Classic Grill Yeah this is right off the interchange of I-35 and Hwy 199/70. Stalls: # unknown - I should have asked! [email protected] notification sent. Discuss. Rick
Thanks for your dogged persistence with the building inspector! If the permit has been issued, then construction may have already begun.
I forgot there was already a thread in a regional group area location place. Honestly, I look for news here in Infrastructure first... Rick
Very interesting. Right between a Honda and a Toyota dealership. The "Interurban Classic Grill" looks nice. Looks like a retro-fit of a big chain. I'll probably use this one on a regular basis, between the McKinney TX area (me) and Wichita, KS (kids/grandkids).
Had a chance to drop by at 7p tonight. Parking lot is packed with pickup trucks and SUVs. There is a transformer in the far corner of the parking lot that I think would be a nice location. However, I found utility flags all the way down the side of the lot to the back of the restaurant. If located there, you will get to charge facing all sorts of gas company signs.
Ten days after utility flags and lines were seen. Today the site could still be the same, or (since we know the permit was issued) there could be trenches and poured concrete by now. Posted Feb 7th:
