Imagine on a hot day in the summer of Atlanta with the garage already at 100F in the shade and you start a supercharging session and it blows hot air towards a sprinkler for 20+ minutes.

Is the air coming from that cabinet over 200F worst case?

Fire sprinkler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia shows temps needed to trigger, I'm assuming that what you have there is white banded green alcohol

Funny unrelated story: I went to Marlow's Tavern about a year ago for lunch and sat on the patio. Since it was chilly, they had heaters that were newly installed on their patio, and we could now sit out there in the somewhat cold. 10 minutes after sitting down, a pop followed by a loud hiss--and then getting drenched with sprinkler water.

Hopefully Tesla's supercharger network has better engineers than a restaurant, but it's obviously possible to overlook something like this.

I am headed from Greenville, SC to Birmingham, AL in a week. Anyone think I'll be able to use Atlantic Station rather than going out to Decatur (Won't have time for HPWCs at Lenox)? Crazy enough, Atlantic Station is literally 1.5 miles from being the exact midpoint.

Took some pictures tonight to give some visibility on what's going on:

The surrounding fence is down, but there are some ropes up to keep people from parking. The pedestals don't have their covers on, but that's the last part and should only take them about an hour to screw everything in. Everything looks plugged in and ready to test.

I also see some screws and mounts in the ground that look to be for barriers to keep people from backing into the pedestals. Honestly, that looks to be the biggest thing remaining. Someone just needs to throw the switch and this sucker is online. End of the week: 99% likely.

Great pictures! Thanks for posting. Can someone outline the clearest most direct way to get to these from the 17th St. exit southbound?

There supposed to be doing their testing today and be operational tomorrow. I'll stop by sometime today and see if anything has changed.

Also see this video I created. I start on the green box on 18th St and turned left on State St.

Tesla Superchargers - Atlanta, GA (Atlantic Station) - YouTube

The official Supercharger maps of North America have been updated.

From left to right we see: Now Open - End of 2014 - Soon - 2015.

If you look at the Now Open map of North America, then you see two red dots in Atlanta, Georgia, right?
This should mean that the Atlanta, Georgia Supercharger station should go live in the next few days, right?

Good eye. Yes they were testing yesterday and it should be live today. I'm surprised though, they updated this map but nothing on the Find Us. Not sure why its so hard to keep things consistent. I've been telling them for about a year now...

I'm not sure if the Atlantic Station (second Supercharger location) is up yet, but its supposed to be operational today. I'd be interested to know if its showing up on the nav yet. Sorry no MS here.

Just stopped by and got a full charge. If you use the entrance on 16th St. which is near Franklin or market Street it's very easy to get to the superchargers. Just enter the parking garage you have to turn right or left at the T. turn left and take your immediate right and the superchargers are dead ahead in front of you
