While there's no definitive proof, there's some evidence pointing to it being at the Irving Big Stop in Baileyville, ME at the intersection of ME-9 and US-1. Tesla's findus says Baring, ME, but that's tiny. A report in a small subscription-only newspaper the Calais Advertiser had a headline about Tesla putting a Supercharger in Baileyville. Haven't read the report, so don't know. Aulac, NB and Enfield, NS will both be at Irving Big Stops. @shonline has stopped at the Baileyville and in the Kennebunk, ME and Aulac, NB Supercharger threads posted photos of Dig Safe markings at the Baileyville Big Stop that appear to be prepping for Supercharger-sized excavation. Supercharger - Aulac, NB Kennebunk ME Supercharger I figured that it now deserves its own thread.
Downeast Supercharging BTW, credit where credit is due. Gwgan posted about the Calais Advertiser headline.
We can hear quacking, but haven't seen the duck walking yet. But it sure looks like they're going to trench the 40' and 20', then across the pavement, and then get power extended from the power pole. Might need an easement to get that to the power that way though. :/
I am in Saint John for the summer (where I grew up) and do go to BGR to fly out from time to time if needed. Nothing scheduled as of now, but will be stopping if I do... Dad also works for Irving in another division so I've already asked him to put out some ears on it.
I'm pretty close to the area, so if I see any kind of work being done, I'll send in some photos. For a small town guy this is awesome!
I'll be down through again heading to BGR for a flight July 17th and will check. I wonder if this will get going now that Kennebunk is 100% done - same crew maybe?
NO changes today and will be back through again in 2 days but don’t expect to see anything then... sigh
Sadly, no change in Baileyville today. So, we parked our S and brand new M3 in the spot and made the sad face... worse, nobody inside even knows there are white stakes out there. Go figure..
