Supercharger - Baker, CA (LIVE / EXPANDED 40 V2 + 20 V3 stalls)

Two types of stall are important at a supercharger site.
You are referring to the future much faster “back in only” Superchargers that Elon has spoken of?* ;)

There are only 20 chargers there, but there are cement bases for 20 more from what I can see

Stopped by on my way north Sunday night. Worksite was a beehive of activity at 7pm. The workers there said (and again, just workers, no inside knowledge) they were trying to get this open on Wednesday.

Bathrooms at DQ not that bad.

Such a massive and beautiful site. Too bad it is so close to Vegas. On the way back, I would expect to start with a full charge (having charged at a destination location) and could easily make Yermo or Barstow, arriving at a low SOC and getting optimum charge rates as a result. At least if I don't have the opportunity for that, I now know I could leave with 150 RM and make it there easily (even at I-15 speeds).

Yes, yes, yes (yes), yes or yes, yes and yes, and yes. Also, sometimes I ... how do I put this ... don't fully charge on a destination charger, which could put you in your "leave with 150 RM" situation example.

On the return trip, I drove by about 7 PM on 11/13. A large blue scissor lift was being used toward the back of the roof structure near the DQ. No need to take a photo in the dark tonight as the recent photos capture the status perfectly.

Thanks to everyone posting photos of this massive Supercharger project.

Thanks for the photos. I do not see how that site can be “open” (as in operational and people using it to charge) in 2 days since it is currently bare dirt except for immediately around the charging pedestals. That would mean it would have be completely paved today (Tuesday) and then ready for vehicles to drive on the paving the next day, Wednesday. Is that possible?
was there a few hours ago and talked to a guy who looked like a foreman. He said they have been working 15hrs a day and it is suppose to be open in 2 days.
