Supercharger - Barstow, CA - East Virginia Way (LIVE 19 Nov 2022, 8 V3 + 2 Urban stalls)

Looks like a brand new supercharger just crept up on us in Barstow, perfect time for the holidays. I thought we were done seeing new installations of Urban chargers but I guess we will need some pics to confirm.

Looks like these are 72KW chargers - Maybe these are older chargers being recycled and reused after replacing them with 250KW chargers in high use areas. Still is is better to have a Supercharger than none.

Yeah they seem slow to Tesla owners but they are
still more than a Bolt can use….. Perhaps they are intended to take pressure off the other Barstow chargers. They won’t charge as fast as the other chargers but at least you won’t be waiting in line as long. Local owners may find them useful.

Looks like only 8 pre-fab V3 stalls and not 10 as listed in the nav.

It also looks like you’re getting well over 72 kW… something closer to 135 kW by my math. I’m going to update supercharge.info with this information.

This site is definitely not limited to 72kw. But there are a total of 10 stalls. The two on the urban pallet do appear relatively permanent.

72kW just means I get to stretch my legs a little longer and hey any dependable charging location is a good one until proven otherwise.
