Lots of room in that parking lot for both more Superchargers and solar canopies. Lets hope to see some significant construction sooner rather than later.

I'll mention for the third time this thread. Those panels weren't connected the last time I visited (I attached photos). Have they been? Can someone check? To me it seems a bit disconcerting.

Thought I'd get a jump on the Sunday traffic heading back from CES.

At Barstow now, there's no one here lol. Btw there's a 24/7 drive thru subway off Barstow road. Better than going to Denny's imho

I believe they are essentially the same hardware as the permanent chargers and deliver the same power rates.

Yes they are definitely capable of charging at 120 kW. I tried one of those way back when they had them at Hawthorne. Barstow has power packs so they should have extra power for those peak moments.

Just got back from CES. I took the last spot at Primm when I arrived but a few people left right after I plugged in. Got to Barstow around 5pm and there were still two spots available of the 12 total (with the temporary chargers). Traffic was great and charging went smoothly.

+1 to this, although Baker would be preferable as it would allow a 60 to skip Barstow even in the winter, Victorville only allows 75+ to skip Barstow in the winter.

We have made it from Mojave to Primm in the fall (this past weekend before Thanksgiving when Barstow was offline) in our S60. I think we could make it on an average winter day between Victorville and Primm. 10MPH wind and 40 degrees avg temp. It would be close according to EVTripPlanner but not out of the question.

We charged at Barstow last Thursday afternoon, 2/2/17, and the temp stall put out a full charge of over 100KW. Fantastic!!
The charge rate on the temp chargers may actually be (slightly) faster than the in-ground fixed ones as the cable run from the AC/DC box is only a few feet as opposed to up to 100 feet on the in-ground ones.

At Barstow now. Was lucky to get a spot without waiting but there were two cars waiting around 15 mins.

Btw they have installed 2 more of the temp superchargers, for a total of 12 now (and they're still full)

Wish they'd just go the whole hog and put another 12 permanent chargers in. With 20 outlets, everyone in S/X/3 will have no problem with long wait times

This is pretty concerning when you consider it's a random Thursday, middle of the day on a non-holiday weekend. I'm sure Tesla will get it corrected and add more permanent chargers soon.

I'm not sure I would say it is just a random week. It is spring break for a lot of people...
