Who are the all the people and why are the spending time in LV at Christmas?Arrived 20 minutes ago, 9 cars in front of me, but the line is not moving
LV has been one of the fastest growing cities in the country and I know many people in SoCal who have relatives that moved to LV...
I was in LV for the Thanksgiving weekend, and this is exactly why I took the ICE. Just not worth the risk.
FYI, I just returned from Mammoth. On the way up, charged at Mojave at 5:30 AM with one car charging, nobody at Lone Pine there or back, and nobody at Mammoth the two times I visited there.

See, this is what worries me as a soon to be owner of a MX75D. We just drove from San Diego to Brian Head Utah today (12/26) and if given the choice I would have taken our Honda Ridgeline complete with its 18.3 mpg over our free to fuel Model X My time and sanity are worth the $75 in fuel. Still, I CAN'T WAIT to travel by Supercharger network in our new MX on a day when the Superchargers aren't overwhelmed. Funny thing is I only saw 3 MS and one MX traveling on the southbound side today.

If traffic wasn't so horrendous, I'm sure I could've made a straight shot to Primm. Primm btw is only half full with one station down.
Once I'm done with Sin City, I'll top off at Primm again and stop at Rancho Cucamonga instead. No way am I going back to Barstow.
This is a tragic fact of the bottleneck you face when trying to travel around a weekend/holiday in our Tesla's. It can ruin your timing/plan and trip. I have resigned myself to the fact that if I want to do a weekend trip you take the ICE vehicle. I have been in the multi hour waits for a supercharger and it takes all the pleasure out of the ownership experience.
Is this bottleneck caused by eastbound or westbound traffic? Any idea? And hopefully, as others arrive we'll continue to have reports.
A supercharger in Baker might take a lot of the pressure off Barstow.
I can let you know in 2.5 weeks if you/we don't hear beforehand.

When Barstow was completely out of service just before Thanksgiving, we made it from Mojave to Primm and Primm to Mojave on our return with no problem. RC is about the same distance. (S60)
